UpFire ® Conveyor shutters are ideal fire grills for conveyor systems at airports. The shutter is integrated into the luggage transport system and includes a special interface suitable for all signals. UpFile ® In case of a fire alarm, it closes the opening of the conveyor belt and closes the fire compartment.

The Fire Alarm System sends a signal directly to the control box. When the control box receives the signal, closing the fire panel is delayed for a preset time. During this delay, the conveyor under the fire panel may be empty.


The fire shutter closes automatically after the preset time has elapsed.
If there is a suitcase under a fire panel during the closing movement, it will activate the buffer switch.
The drive belt in front of the fire shutter is activated via the control unit in order to discharge the conveyor once again. If this does not solve the problem and the suitcase remains under the fire curtain, the fire shutter will partially close and descend on the suitcase.
The closing movement of the fire shutter is always a movement of gravity. This gravity movement is released by an electromagnetic clutch inside the engine.
In the event of a power failure, the shutter will not close immediately, because the battery pack in the control box will hold the electromagnetic clutch. After a preset time, the electromagnetic clutch is released so that the fire shutter closes as a precaution. This makes the system insensitive to short power failures.
